My role and work

As an iOS Team Lead at Crypmoji, I led engineering efforts for the keyboard as a separate iOS App Extension, addressing the architectural, resource-management, and application lifecycle constraints of a memory-limited extension environment.

Developed a memory-optimized implementation tailored to the keyboard's restricted execution environment, reducing unnecessary resource consumption while supporting integration with the broader encrypted messaging experience.

Applied Swift, UIKit, modular software design, memory management, and performance optimization to deliver a lightweight keyboard interface and improve extension stability.

Balanced integration requirements with the keyboard's independent execution lifecycle, emphasizing reusable components, efficient resource management, code maintainability, and reliable user interactions.

Provided technical direction and engineering mentorship to maintain consistency between the main Crypmoji application and its keyboard extension.
